Dan shares a Nostalgic Reflection on The Cranberries’ 1993 hit “Dreams.”
Â
“Dreams is like a signal and electric shock, awakening the mind, body, and spirit so that we're prepared to receive a new energy that's going to shatter the mundanity of our lives.”
 -Dan Dissinger

Dan starts a new series on The Nostalgia Test Podcast called “Nostalgic Reflections.” These will be solo episodes about very personal connections, curiosities, and thoughts about the hosts’ pop culture pasts. On the first Nostalgic Reflection Dan reads an essay about the song “Dreams” by The Cranberries and the transcendent power of lead singer/lyricist Dolores O’Riordan’s voice. He talks about the timeless energy of the music, how it’s soundtrack magic, and when he specifically loves to listen to this song. He also gets philosophical about dreams and how they remind us all to embrace the unknown.
You can read Dan’s essay here on Substack.
